Leaving Egypt in the 21st Century

“In every generation a person must regard themselves as though they personally had gone out of Egypt” (Mishna, Pesachim 10:5)

This is a lecture format of the Pesach Egypt Tour of the Met, adapted for communities and synagogues. It has so far been delivered in Congregation Beth Jacob in Atlanta, GA and in Congregation Etz Ahaim in Highland Park, NJ.

Without the museum, this lecture allows more in depth textual study and analyses of concepts and ideas pertinent to the Passover experience.

Length: 60 minutes

Thank you so much for your very enlightening and interesting talk Leaving Egypt in the 21st Century. You added much meaning to the Pesach concepts the Torah discusses using your knowledge of ancient Egypt and helped us to be understand the ideas of Freedom we need to apply to our lives today.
